The British Columbia Christian Ashram is a Christian Retreat which combines contemplative prayer, orthodox Biblical teaching and practical spiritual disciplines. Our hybrid format means anyone can participate. You can attend in person or online. It’s a weekend event held in early July at the beautiful campus of Trinity Western University in Langley, British Columbia or you can join via ZOOM.
Evangelist
Rev. Brian Shimer, M Div, has been involved in the Christian Ashram movement since 1981. Brother Brian has spoken at Ashram events for three decades, as Jesus mightily impacted him through this movement. Brian loves leading groups in discussing God's Word and watching as the Holy Spirit brings deep applications. He also provides personal counseling through Lionhearted Ministries LLC.
Married to Karen, dad to four girls and grandfather to five, Brian loves his family.
Bible Teacher
Dr. John Roddam was born in Nova Scotia, Canada. He served parishes in Eastern & Western Canada and in the Pacific Northwest USA. He has been active with the United Christian Ashram Movement for over 40 years. John has a strong prophetic anointing and healing ministry. Dr. John comments that “God’s Kingdom is bursting forth in Earth as it is in Heaven. We are to pray and partner with the Lord as His Kingdom Purposes expand in and through our lives, impacting God’s world! We are privileged to work with God, NOT for God. Sam Shoemaker began his day with this prayer, “Thank you, Lord, for this new day! What are you about today? I want to be part of it!”
