Evangelist
An experienced pastor and youth pastor, Jamie currently works in two part-time roles,
as Youth and Young Adult Pastor at Birch Cove Baptist Church, Halifax, and with InterVarsity Christian Fellowship as Campus Minister at Acadia University. Please pray that students may be encouraged and grow in their faith and service to Jesus Christ in their
places of worship, study and work.
Jamie studied English and French – and learned to play the saxophone – at Acadia University. He trained for ministry as well, receiving his Master of Divinity degree from Acadia Divinity College. In recent years, he has had the privilege of studying the mission of the Church, giving some time and reflection to the Ashram community, and to the writing and ministry of its founder, E. Stanley Jones. In Christ, we have received a rich heritage through the Ashram over the years, and Jamie is eager to see how God will use this retreat to bless current and future generations, as they come to know and serve Jesus as Lord. He is Lord indeed! We look forward to his ministry as the
Evangelist at this year’s Ashram.
Bible Teacher
We are pleased to welcome Brother Ross as our Bible Study Leader at this year’s Ashram. Ross is the lead Pastor at Brunswick Street Baptist Church in Fredericton and has been serving officially in that capacity since October 2024. Previously serving as the Community Connection Pastor from October 2021. Originally from Edinburgh, Scotland, he moved to Canada in 2021. He completed his degree at the International Christian College in Glasgow, Scotland and served in many youth ministry roles, with the
longest of these being Gorebridge Parish Church, just outside Edinburgh, where he served as Youth Pastor for 13 years.
Ross is married to Fiona and they have three beautiful daughters, Eden, Ariel, and Zion, as well as a miniature English Bull Terrier called Cav
(named after the Cleveland Cavaliers…). Ross’s hobbies are listening to music, sport in general with the favourites being football (soccer), basketball,
running and playing pool.
Ross is passionate about relationships, he desires to see people disciple
and then released to live the way Jesus calls them to in their current life circumstances, wherever they are and whatever they are doing, to learn what it means to love Jesus and live for Him today! We look forward to his ministry as the Bible Study Leader at this year’s Ashram.
