You’re invited to an in-person gathering especially for adults — the Arizona Summer Christian Ashram.This weekend retreat is held in early July in Scottsdale, Arizona at the beautiful (and air-conditioned!) Franciscan Renewal Center. This setting is an ideal for spiritual growth, healing, and community.

Gina Pollard leads Cross in the Desert UMC in Phoenix, Arizona. Besides leading her congregation, she is a Certified Grief Recovery Specialist®. A self-described hope junkie, Gina’s calling is to journey with others by helping them validate the whole of who they are in the world and in their lives and to move forward with hope and confidence. Gina earned her Master of Divinity degree from Fuller Theological Seminary. She holds certifications from The Grief Recovery Institute and the Trauma Institute International. She currently serves on the Board of Directors of the Arizona Faith Network.

At the Arizona Summer Ashram, it is very easy for adults with mobility issues to move around and participate fully. We have several Handicapped Accessible and ADA compliant rooms available. All rooms have a private bathroom and most rooms have two plush queen beds with all linens provided. We make sure that the music includes favorite hymns and older praise songs. Come join us for a weekend of fellowship, worship, healing, a fun-filled talent show, and good food.
